Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m so thankful for all of my students and blessed to be their teacher! Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family, fun & lots of yummy food!

Spirit Day ~Red, White, and Blue~

Yesterday we showed our spirit by wearing red, white, and blue. We are so lucky to have Mr. Jones (Kendyl's Grandpa) volunteer in our classroom weekly. The students had a lot of fun making cards for Mr. Jones, thanking him for serving our country. He even got to attend the AMAZING Veterans' Day assembly with us. It was a great day honoring those that have served our country in the past and those currently serving!

November Reading Contest

In case you were wondering about the most recent reading log sent home...... WE ARE HAVING A READING CONTEST! The class who reads the most after-school minutes will be able to shave whatever they want into Mr. Darling's beard on Nov. 30th! Please have your child return their reading log along with their homework each Thursday in November. You will receive a new reading log attached to the homework packet each week.

Your child can still earn a Pizza Hut certificate for completing the reading log and returning it to school! Happy Reading!

Snail Races

We had a fun time this afternoon racing our snails. Snail #4 was the winner! Our class found out that the snails that raced on a wet track with food in place moved a lot faster than the snails that had a barrier, dry track and food in place.
